Lift Piston Pumps ? Water is drawn through a valve into the lower part of the cylinder before passing through the upper part of the cylinder. Water is then discharged via a spout
Force Piston Pumps ? Water is drawn through an inlet valve and into the cylinder. The water is then discharged through an outlet valve into the outlet pipe.
Despite their differences, both lift piston pumps and force piston pumps can be operated either by hand or by using an engine.
