Introduction:

Hyogo Pulp Industries, Ltd. has placed an order with international technology group ANDRITZ for a second DD-Washer drum displacer washer and a blowline refiner for its Tanigawa mill in Japan.

Features:

The ANDRITZ DD-Washer is designed to provide efficient pulp washing and consistent pulp quality while reducing water consumption. Its multi-stage configuration will allow the mill to stop using existing washers. The washing stages can also be adjusted during operation according to production requirements.

The ANDRITZ blowline refiner is designed to process high-kappa pulp and refine remaining shives in the pulp stream. It can also improve pulp yield by reducing the amount of rejects sent back from the screen room.

The new equipment will help Hyogo Pulp Industries increase production capacity while improving resource efficiency and supporting its environmental goals.

The equipment will support the mill’s production expansion and sustainability objectives, with start-up planned for May 2028.
