Introduction:

International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order to supply a new recovery boiler for Century Pulp and Paper’s mill located in Lalkuan, Uttarakhand, India.

Features:

The recovery boiler, with a capacity of 950 tds/d, will be delivered on an EPC basis. The scope of supply includes an electrostatic precipitator to minimise particulate matter emissions. The boiler is designed to process black liquor obtained from a raw material mix of hardwood, bamboo, and bagasse.

The new recovery boiler will improve the mill’s environmental performance and provide a reliable source of green energy for years to come. It will replace one of the existing recovery boilers, thereby increasing the plant’s green energy output. 

Start-up is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
