Organic peroxides

We have a long history in organic peroxides, starting with production of dibenzoyl peroxide in the early 1920s for use in flour bleaching.

Since then, many new organic peroxides have been added to our portfolio. They are used to initiate polymerization reactions for production of plastics, hardening of thermoset composites and improve the properties of plastics and rubbers. We offer the complete product portfolio of hydroperoxides, peresters, peroxycarbonates, diacyl peroxides, ketone peroxides, dialkyl peroxides and perketals known as Trigonox®, Butanox®, Laurox® and Perkadox®

Major applications are:

• Initiator for the production of thermoplastics such as PE, PVC and EPS
• Curing agent for thermoset resins
• Crosslinking agent for elastomers and thermoplastics
• Modifying agent for polymers such as polypropylene
• Reagent in pharmaceutical synthesis
