TimberTec, the leading software supplier for the timber industry in DACH, announces today that they are merging with Datapolarna, the market leader in Sweden and Norway. The combination of two of Europe's major suppliers of software for the wood industry brings together their complementary offerings to form an exclusive and comprehensive product suite for the wood industry.

Based in Skellefteå, Datapolarna has more than 25 years of experience serving customers in the wood sector, with customers all over Europe. Datapolna's product portfolio adds high-value functionality to the TimberTec offering, particularly in the areas of package logistics, truck handling and timber plane management, through innovative software such as SIPal. Furthermore, the Datapoles add value in areas such as information security and cloud solutions and as the digitization of the wood industry continues, these products will enhance and complement TimberTec's ERP offering TiCom to provide a unique solution for customers.

In addition to this stronger product offering, which will appeal to existing customers, TimberTec and the Datapoles will together be able to address a wider market including specialist sawmills. In addition, the joint offer creates an immediate and significant growth path and the opportunity to expand into new geographic markets, by leveraging TimberTec's and Datapolarna's market-leading positions in DACH, Sweden and Norway.

Availability
The joint offer will be available immediately in all markets. In particular, SIPal will be offered to TimberTec's customer base in the autumn, where the merger and integration of the product solutions will further increase customer value.
