Etteplan and Stora Enso have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Stora Enso's Sunila pulp mill Technology and Investments department to Etteplan. Effective from September 18, 2023, this agreement entails the transition of 10 project managers and engineers from Stora Enso to Etteplan. This move is directly related to Stora Enso's decision to cease pulp production at the Sunila Mill in Kotka, Finland by the close of 2023.

Riku Riikonen, Senior Vice President for Engineering Solutions at Etteplan, remarked on the significance of this agreement, particularly in bolstering Etteplan's capabilities in maintenance engineering. He extended a warm welcome to the Technology and Investments team from Stora Enso, emphasizing the positive impact this collaboration will have.

Riikonen concluded, "The agreement with Stora Enso demonstrates that our outsourcing solutions are effective and offer viable opportunities to companies in times of change."
