Temporarily acting governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss held a working meeting with the leadership of AFK Sistema and the Segezha Group , which is part of it, the press center of the regional government reports.

The participants of the meeting touched upon the development of the timber industry complex and the wood chemical industry in the region, the prospects for large investment projects in the region. In particular, the possibility of creating modern high-tech pulp and paper production on the territory of the northern group was discussed.

" AFK Sistema is a diversified business unit," stressed Alexander Uss. - Its arrival on the territory of the region can give progress in the directions most necessary for us. First of all, this is the forest industry. In total, the construction of three production facilities is planned, and our dream is a wood chemical complex, the absence of which is the thrombus of our forest industry. Within two weeks we will prepare and sign the corresponding agreement, which will cover both the timing, the list of facilities, as well as the necessary infrastructure support. "

As explained by the chairman of the Segezha Group Mikhail Shamolin, investors consider the Krasnoyarsk Territory to be very promising due to a forest resource produced from a globally competitive prime cost.

"We plan to use the capacities available here as a launching pad and rapidly expand them," said Mikhail Shamolin.
