Saica Group has announced a significant agreement to secure a minority stake in Pacapime, a Belgian company specializing in corrugated cardboard production. In the year 2022, Pacapime achieved a revenue of 61 million euros and employed 109 individuals directly.

With its origins tracing back to 1919 and its current headquarters situated in Halle, Belgium, Pacapime has firmly established its presence across the Benelux countries, France, and Germany. Impressively, 80 percent of its sales are directed toward the food sector.

In line with Saica's values, Pacapime places a strong emphasis on sustainability. The company actively employs recycled paper, operates its own solar panels to fulfill a third of its annual energy requirements, and has effectively implemented various water and energy efficiency strategies.

Ramon Alejandro, President of Saica Group, remarked, "This partnership aligns perfectly with Saica's growth strategy, extending our reach into Northern European markets within the thriving corrugated cardboard packaging industry, where we already hold a leadership position. Pacapime's commitment to sustainability and innovation mirrors our own, and we are confident that our collaboration will enable us to offer enhanced solutions and services to customers striving to minimize the environmental impact of their packaging."

Saica's 2025 strategic agenda underscores the importance of sustainable growth, focusing on refining its business model throughout Europe.

Paul Pissens, owner at Pacapime, noted, "Much like Pacapime, Saica boasts a rich legacy and operates on steadfast values. We are excited to welcome them as an investor and partner. Our combined scale and expertise promise substantial advantages for both entities, and we eagerly anticipate the potential that this new international partnership holds."

By joining forces with Pacapime, Saica Group continues its journey toward sustainable expansion, underpinned by shared values and a mutual dedication to innovation and eco-conscious practices.
