PT. Adiprima, PM1, awards order for 4 Power Cleaners for Dryer Fabrics to ProJet

6 October 2023

ProJet has secured an order for a total of four ProJet High Pressure Cleaners from PT. Adiprima Suparinta, intended for their PM1 operations. Notably, PT. Adiprima had previously ordered eight ProJet Cleaners for their PM3 back in July 2023. While the exact value of this order remains undisclosed, it was confirmed that the order was placed in October 2023, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.

The supplied Cleaners will come complete with all necessary auxiliary equipment, including pumps and control panels, ensuring a comprehensive solution. All pumps are equipped with redundant systems to maximize reliability. These new ProJet Power Cleaners are specifically tailored to enhance cleanliness and permeability within the Dryer Section of PM1.

It's worth highlighting that all Power Cleaners designated for the Dryer Section will feature the upgraded ProJet Power Cleaner 2.0. This enhanced version boasts a more compact cleaner head, a greater number of high-pressure nozzles, and an improved vacuum/discharge system. The combination of these improvements results in significantly enhanced cleaning efficiency, precisely meeting the requirements of FPC's Dryer Fabrics.

The Power Cleaner operates continuously, providing round-the-clock cleaning for the Dryer Fabrics whenever the machine is in operation. In contrast, older technologies typically employ batch cleaning methods, allowing dryer fabrics to accumulate dirt, leading to reduced permeability. Subsequently, efforts are made to restore permeability, resulting in uneven profiles over time, which often leads to paper quality issues and increased instances of paper breakage. The accompanying graph illustrates the advantages of continuous cleaning, including a more stable moisture profile, reduced paper breakage, and extended fabric lifespan.

The rise in dryer fabric contamination is attributed to various factors, such as increased utilization of secondary fibers, the recycling of coated broke, greater reliance on sheet fillers, expanded use of recycled mill water supplies, and heightened usage of process chemicals. This underscores the importance of effective and continuous cleaning solutions, as exemplified by ProJet's offerings.
