Kadant Noss AB, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., has announced its agreement to deliver a Green Liquor System upgrade to the Södra Cell Mörrum Mill in Sweden. This order encompasses the provision of a green liquor clarifier, dregs precoat filter, engineering services, and on-site support.

Mörrum Mill is a specialized facility with two distinct production lines. One line manufactures a wide variety of premium paper pulps, while the other is dedicated to dissolving pulp for textile and other applications, featuring the innovative OnceMore® process.

Kadant's Green Liquor Clarifier boasts cutting-edge features such as the Uniform Flow Design (UFD) Feedwell and Uniform Liquor Removal (ULR) Bustle Pipe. These technologies enable the production of exceptionally clean green liquor while maintaining low energy consumption through advanced sedimentation techniques. Additionally, the dregs precoat filter plays a pivotal role in recovering green liquor from the green liquor clarifier's underflow stream, resulting in a dry, environmentally non-hazardous, low-pH cake. This dregs filtering technology ensures high washing efficiency while keeping energy consumption at a minimum.
