Holmen and SCA have successfully concluded a preliminary investigation into the feasibility of a collaborative sawmill in Rundvik, located in Västerbotten County. The pre-study has indicated favorable conditions for the establishment of a large-scale, competitive venture. Efforts are currently ongoing to refine and advance the potential options.

Holmen specializes in the production of sawn and processed wood products used in carpentry, construction, and building supply industries. With the acquisition of Martinsons in 2020, Holmen expanded its offerings to include tailored solutions in CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) and glulam, contributing to eco-friendly, large-scale wood construction projects.
