Cartiera Pirinoli Società Cooperativa has restarted production of recycled board at the former PKarton board mill in Roccavione, Italy. Cartiera Pirinoli is an industrial project financed by 70 former PKarton employees and two cooperative funds who have acquired the board mill at the auction in April. Pkarton stopped production at the Roccavione mill in June 2012 due to debt issues and lack of funds.

The Roccavione board mill in Italy's province of Cuneo houses two machines with an annual production capacity of up to 120,000 tpy of GD board and greyboard. Cartiera Pirinoli's business plan also encompasses the restart of BM 2 at the start of 2107.
