Voith Unveils CleanLine Extract360: Advancing Fabric Cleaning and Operational Efficiency

Voith, a leading full-line supplier to the paper industry, has launched the CleanLine Extract360—a highly effective fabric cleaning system engineered for the dryer section of paper machines. This next-generation solution overcomes the limitations of conventional cleaning systems by delivering superior cleaning results, efficiently removing wastewater, and extending fabric life through reduced cleaning pressure.

With increasing use of recycled fibers in paper production, contamination in the dryer section has become a growing challenge, impacting machine efficiency and paper quality. The CleanLine Extract360 addresses this with Voith’s proven Extract cleaning concept, which combines multidirectional cleaning for both surface and structural contamination with a strategically positioned cleaning head after the roll, targeting the non-paper side of the fabric.

• Edges and joints of conventional cleaning heads facilitate the accumulation of contamination during production. The generative design of the Extract360 cleaning head minimizes these interference points, avoiding self-contamination and ensuring consistently high cleaning performance.
• The flow-optimized vacuum channel of CleanLine Extract360 is merged directly with the cleaning zone, enabling improved removal of wastewater and ensuring maximum functionality and reliability
• With flow-optimized high-pressure channels, the jet quality of the cleaning nozzles is significantly improved. Based on specific customer requirements, this enhancement can either increase the cleaning effect at the same pressure level or achieve an equivalent result at even lower pressures, reducing strain on the fabric.

Already in successful operation at several paper mills, CleanLine Extract360 has demonstrated significant improvements in fabric cleanliness and machine performance. It is available as a standalone system or as an upgrade to existing DuoCleaner or CleanLine setups, with most original components retained during retrofits.
