AboutShrishti Eco-Research Institute (SERI)

SERI started in 1995 with an aim towards the clean environment with the help of natural technologies, Eco-technologies to treat wastes. It has been well experienced that conventional physicochemical and biological treatment systems require high material and energy inputs to obtain desired results consequently leading to high capital and operating costs.

Shrishti Eco-Research Institute (SERI) is a pioneer in the Ecosystem approach and Ecotechnology for ecological restoration of polluted streams and lakes in the country. We have developed expertise for the treatment of sewage and industrial effluents through cost-effective and energy-efficient processes. The technologies developed by SERI are applicable to both point and non-point sources of water-pollution.

15 years of experience supported by our extensive research in this field has led us to develop tailor-made technologies which are sustainable and affordable, without the use of expensive machinery, electricity and skilled man-power. Developing and applying low-cost and effective ecotechnologies successfully, with the active participation of our clients, is our forte.

The major objective of SERI is to develop cost- effective, indigenous technologies based on natural, ecological engineering principles for the point & non point sources.

SERI has effectively and successfully employed pollution control technologies using ecotechnological principles to treat the pollution from point sources i. e. industries and residential areas and non-point sources like city drains.

Designing and Consultation

STPs, ETPs, C- ETPs, solid waste management based on the conventional, advanced and ecotechnological principles.

Integrated Water Resources Management Programme – related to Rainwater Harvesting and Recycling of Wastewater with regular water supply.

Environmental surveys

Site surveys related to environmental issues – evaluation of present environmental set up and identification, prediction, projection of impacts- In the planning stage of the project (s) – before setting up of the facility, Environment Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA), and Environmental & Social Assessment (ESA).

SERI has developed and patented Ecotechnological Treatment Systems. Soil Scape Filter and Green Bridge Technology are some of them. These are the Indigenous technologies with minimum use of electricity, manpower and chemicals.
