Ziegler Papier closes its doors for good

Specialty and fine paper producer Ziegler Papier has permanently stopped production on its paper machine.

The owner and managing director of the paper mill based in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, Isabel Frey Kuttler, told EUWID that only sheets production was taking place on site at the moment. All customer orders will be filled by the middle/end of May.

The cessation of business at Ziegler Papier, originally announced at the beginning of the year, has affected around 100 employees. The closure of the PM will remove up to 72,000 tpy from the market. Ziegler mainly produced papers for graphic applications, including lightweight printing paper and inkjet paper as well as release liner.
