Takeover talks with Niederauer Mühle leading to no results so far

German papermaker Walsum Papier, which recently entered into takeover talks with Niederauer Mühle, will continue to be up for sale. The company’s temporary insolvency administrator said that he again filed for another extension of insolvency benefits to 1 February 2016 in order to sell the company. Takeover talks with Niederauer Mühle were supposed to be exclusive and to be finalised in the foreseeable future in order to save the paper mill from insolvency. Niederauer Mühle’s management declined to comment on the present state of the takeover talks.

Walsum Papier is planning to resume paper production after taking scheduled maintenance downtime in the year-end holiday period. The mill’s TMP line is to restart on 2 January, its LWC machine is scheduled to be up and running on 3 January.
