Universal Forest Products to open manufacturing facility in Orangeburg County

Universal Forest Products, a provider of wood and wood-related products, plans to open a manufacturing facility in Orangeburg County, S.C. Department of Commerce announced. Operating as UFP Cameron, LLC, the $6.1 million facility is projected to create more than 120 new jobs over the next several years. UFP Cameron will be located at 106 Logistics Drive in Cameron, S.C. and is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2018. The facility will be dedicated to manufacturing products for the industrial market. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. Additionally, a $500,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant was also awarded to Orangeburg County to assist with the costs of building improvements.
