Belarus's Svetlogorsk pulp and cardboard mill is set to start trial production on its new 400,000 tonne/yr bleached pulp plant in October, according to the local authorities of the Gomel region where the mill is located. The plant is expected to launch production of saleable pulp in December 2015. It is scheduled to reach its full capacity in the course of 2016.

The local authorities said that the construction of the pulp plant is 90% complete. Last month, the firm revealed that it had started hydraulic tests on its new recovery and biomass boilers.
