Stora Enso's consumer board machine at Beihai Mill in China successfully started production on 26 May.

The total investment in the project is €800m, including a bleached chemi-thermomechanical (BCTMP) pulp mill with an annual capacity of 220,000 tonnes, operational in the fourth quarter of 2016. The board machine is expected to reach full production within 18 to 24 months. In full operation, the mill will have an annual capacity of 450,000 tonnes of liquid packaging board and other paperboard products.
