Spanish white-lined chipboard (WLC) manufacturer Papelera del Principado (Paprinsa) is investing Euro 3.5 million ($3.9 million) in new machinery at its Mollerussa mill to lift capacity and improve quality.

The firm has tapped Voith to supply a new Nipco flex shoe press and an offset press and to rebuild the stainless steel framework. The installation will take place during a two-week downtime, from August 8-23, the mill's management told RISI.
