Södra Wood will open a sales office and a subsidiary in China. The sales office will be headquartered in Shanghai. With this move Södra seeks to expand its market presence in China and create more contacts.

The company will be wholly owned by Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening and will consist of a Swedish Board of Directors and a President who will be responsible for operations.

Södra Wood already has a market presence in China and the purpose of the new office is to increase sales of sawn timber. The sales office will have three employees.

Last week, Södra Wood announced the opening of a sales office and a subsidiary in the United States, with the purpose of expanding its market presence in the US.
