Shanghai Taison Pulp-Making Group of China to Set Up Pulp and Paper Mill in Bintulu, Malaysia

The Shanghai Taison Pulp-Making Group of China is considering establishing a pulp and paper mill in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia, with total investment of $4 billion, ITTO reports.

The factory would be able to process one to two million tons of pulp, 800,000 tons of paper and 300,000 tons of tissue paper.

When complete the new complex could create over 10,000 job opportunities in the mills and in the plantations which the company intends to establish.

Shanghai Taison Pulp-Making Group of China is a major forestry and timber, pulp and paper processing, as well as packaging business with 13,000 workers in 30 factories in China as well as overseas.
