SCA has realized its plans to concentrate exclusively on the production of sanitary products at its mill in Mannheim, southwestern Germany.

The group announced last year that it would cease the production of packaging and specialty papers within the FlexPack Papers (FPP) business unit at the site in the first quarter this year. According to a spokesperson for SCA, production of non-sanitary paper grades was stopped in late February, but the group will continue to sell existing stock until May or June.
