Russia's Arkhangelsk launches new 1,000 tonne/day SC pulp line

Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (APPM) has launched its new semi-chemical (SC) pulp line at its Novodvinsk mill in the Arkhangelsk region in Russia.

The 350,000 tonne/yr line will cook hardwood with green liquor to produce SC pulp and will supply fiber to Arkhangelsk's two containerboard machines, which can produce a combined total of 560,000 tonnes of kraftliner, uniliner and SC fluting annually.
