Papyrus takes over Procurator

Papyrus continues to restructure. After announcements that it was acquiring Inapa's Swiss business and selling its French operations to Inapa, the company now finalised the takeover of industrial safety products supplier Procurator.

Swedish paper merchant Papyrus has finalised the acquisition of Procurator. "Procurator will help strengthen our customer offer by adding safety and protective products to our range," said Christoph Sander, Chairman and CEO of Papyrus. The purchase price has not been disclosed. Roos Gruppen, the former owner of Procurator, will become a shareholder in Papyrus at the same time.

Procurator is one of the leading suppliers of protective clothing and equipment as well as cleaning, hygiene and facility supplies in Scandinavia and Estonia. In 2015, the company booked sales of €120m.

Only recently, Papyrus announced the acquisition of Inapa Switzerland while it simultaneously sold its French business to Inapa. Furthermore, the company intends to take over Olsonic, a Swedish wholesaler and visual communication company, which offers print and presentation solutions. Olsonic has sales of SEK70m (€7.3m).
