PAPCEL Group to supply a new tissue machine to Copelme S.A. in Bolivia

15 April 2017

The PAPCEL Litovel engineering group is going to deliver a new tissue making machine to Bolivia. PAPCEL obtained the contract through the agency of the Italian GapCon Tissue company, acquired at the end of the last year. The contract amount has not been made public, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The tissue machine has been ordered by the Copelme S.A. company, a part of the Grupo Mendoza de Inversiones, a major Bolivian manufacturer of tissue products like handkerchiefs, towels and sanitary tissue.

The company decided to invest in the new machinery to increase production.

"It is a greenfield project. The new machine will be erected in a new manufacture shop situated at the new industrial park in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The GapCon company acts in the project as a sponsor including deliveries of all the auxiliary equipment, on-site erection works and complete engineering services," said PAPCEL's spokesperson Martina Pavlíková.

Putting the new tissue machine into operation in Bolivia is scheduled for the middle of the next year. The machinery daily capacity is to be 85 tons sanitary tissue, handkerchiefs and towels.

The Italian GapCon incorporated into the PAPCEL Group at the end of the last year is a supplier of papermaking machinery to the customers in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
