More containerboard capacities are to come, at the same time reducing newsprint capacities. Papierfabrik Palm in Germany wants to replace three machines at its Aalen mill by a new one.

German Papierfabrik Palm has announced plans to expand capacity for recycled corrugated case material. The company said it wanted to build a new paper machine at its headquarters in Aalen, Germany. The new PM will replace three existing machines at the site, of which one is originally dedicated to newsprint production.

The project is scheduled for realisation between 2020 and 2022. Production on the three existing paper machines is planned to continue without any change until the start-up of the new PM.
