Ontex building new plant for hygiene products in France

Ontex will replace its two production plants in France with a new plant in Dourges. The machinery will be moved to the new site during 2016 and 2017.

Belgium's hygiene products manufacturer Ontex is building a new plant in Dourges in northern France. The site is to combine production of the company's two other plants in France which are located in Wasquehal and Arras. Ontex said that the construction of the building would be completed in summer 2016 and the move of the production lines would gradually happen in 2016 and 2017.

The Wasquehal and Arras sites manufacture incontinence products. They are located near the new plant and employ around 350 people which will move to the new site as well.

Ontex is a manufacturer of baby diapers, feminine hygiene and incontinence products. The company has production sites in 15 countries in Europe, North Africa and the Asia Pacific region and employs around 5,300 staff.
