Nippon Paper Industries announces price increase for kraft paper grades

19 April 2018

Nippon Paper Industries has announced price increase for kraft paper grades by a minimum of 15%, effective with shipments as of June 21, 2018.

The company has worked on thorough cost reductions and strive to maintain product prices. However, the rise in manufacturing costs, including the increase in the prices of main raw material of chip and pulp, materials including fuel and chemicals, and the rise in logistics costs, etc. is more than the company can absorb through self-help efforts alone.

Nippon Paper Industries produces coated and uncoated paper, including specialty grades, and paperboard.
