Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. has announced price increase of backing paper for wallpaper. Price increase minimum 15% to take effect starting with July 21, 2018.

The Company has worked on thorough cost reductions, including the improvement of production efficiency and logistics costs. However, the rise in manufacturing costs, including the increase in the prices of main raw material such as chip, materials including fuel and chemicals, and the rise in logistics costs, etc. is more than the Company can absorb through self-help efforts alone.

To secure a stable supply structure, the Company decided the revision of the product prices.
