Mondi is mulling an investment in eastern central Europe, according to Slovak media reports. Several major newspapers in Slovakia quoted the country's Prime Minister Robert Fico as saying that Mondi is planning a "multi-million-euro" investment in Slovakia and Poland.

Fico did not reveal any other details regarding the project but said that the government is ready to support the paper maker, especially when "it comes to expanding existing capacity and creating new jobs."
