Kraftliner prices in Germany continue to slide in March

20 March 2019

Excess supply on Germany's kraftliner market led to softening prices. This is particularly true for brown kraftliner, but white-top kraftliner is affected too.

Kraftliner prices on the German market continued trending downwards in March. Industry observers reported noticeable delivery declines compared to the previous year. This is particularly true for the brown grades. The excess supply has led to price reductions.

Imports from Russia and the USA are also said to be having an effect on the market. Apparently, these suppliers recently cut their prices considerably after keeping them at a high level for a long time.

Prices for white-top kraftlner are also heading south. More kraftliner was readily available on the market in Germany, according to respondents.
