Eldorado schedules stone laying ceremony for new BEK pulp line on June 15

Brazilian pulp producer Eldorado has scheduled for June 15 a stone-laying ceremony to mark the beginning of construction works of its new 2.3 million tonnes/yr bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp mill. The project will establish a second pulp production line besides the company's existing 1.7 million tonnes/yr mill installed in Três Lagoas city, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Midwest Brazil.

Eldorado aims to kick off the new production in the first half of 2018, making it the owner of the world's largest pulp production complex. The company stated that during the ceremony in June, it will reveal more details about the project.
