18 June 2015

Duni subsidiary Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB will invest approximately SEK 110 million ($13.5 million), upgrading its two tissue machines in Skåpafors, Sweden. The investment will increase the tissue capacity at Rexcell by approximately 15% annually, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Voith GmbH & CO KG has been selected as supplier. This will be the second installation of a new technology in the world and the first in Europe. With this investment Rexcell will have the possibility to develop a new quality standard for tissue napkins. The plan is to have the new technology installed during the 2Q 2016.

“As market leader in producing colored tissue for napkins we need to invest in higher efficiency and upgraded materials. This investment will give us the opportunity to develop new products in cooperation with our customers”, says Thomas Gustafsson, President and CEO of Duni AB.

Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Duni AB. Rexcell manufactures tissue and airlaid material for both Duni and external customers. Operations are conducted at two plants located in Skåpafors in Dalsland, Sweden.
