Czech government releases tender process for Vipap

Czech government puts Slovenia's newsprint and magazine paper manufacturer Vipap Videm Krsko up for sale.

Czech government has announced a tender process for the acquisition of a 96,5% stake in Slovenia's newsprint and magazine paper manufacturer Vipap Videm Krsko (VVK). According to the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, potential investors are expected to place their indicative offers by 1 June 2015.

Vipap is located in Krsko, eastern Slovenia. The company runs three paper machines with a total production capacity of 200,000 tpy of newsprint, magazine and wrapping and packaging paper. In 2014, VVK sold 189,000 t of paper of which 165,000 t standard and improved newsprint.
