Crown Van Gelder proudly announces its latest investment is a Soft Calender for Paper Machine 1 which is part of an investment program totalling EUR 20m in the past 2 years. This Soft Calender is supplied by Andritz Küsters GmbH from Germany and is being installed during January.

The new Soft Calender provides improved smoothness of the paper surface and it enables us to further strengthen our market position in High Speed Inkjet, Label and Packaging papers. It also makes us more flexible in the production cycles on Paper Machines 1 & 2 for our product portfolio.

The investment emphasises the full support of our customer oriented niche strategy by our 100% shareholder Andlinger & Company (as of April 2015).
