China's Asia Symbol (Shandong) Pulp & Paper has halted production on a 300,000 tonne/yr bleached hardwood kraft (BHK) pulp line at its mill in Rizhao city, Shandong province.

A spokesperson from the firm said that the line suspended production on July 13 for maintenance and because of the drought in Rizhao.
