Displacement pumps convey media reliably in all sectors of the chemical industry

Displacement pumps convey media reliably in all sectors of the chemical industry

Industrial chemistry defines all areas of life in the modern world, from the basic materials for pharmaceuticals to new materials for mechanical engineering. And the range of media that has to be processed in chemical plants for all those applications is just as broad. For the pump systems that are used, such diversity represents an enormous challenge, as the systems have to convey abrasive, shear-sensitive and hazardous materials reliably in all cases. Netzsch, as a supplier of pumps and systems, has developed a full range of pumps, materials and accessories to be able to put together the perfect configuration for each application.

Screw pumps are highly reliable in chemical applications

Screw pumps are highly reliable in chemical applications

Pressure is a decisive factor in many pumping tasks in the chemical industry, for everything from sealing liquids to lubrication of heavy machinery such as mills. NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH has therefore developed a series of screw pumps with two, three and four spindles, which can generate high pressures of up to 80 bar in limited space. The NOTOS® pumps are highly efficient to operate and achieve long service lives without costly maintenance thanks to specially adapted geometries and materials, and hydraulic compensation. Depending on the type, they are also suitable for lubricating or non-lubricating media at temperatures up to 300 °C, so that they can be used in extremely varied applications.

Smooth design of the TORNADO® hygienic rotary lobe pump offers additional cleaning advantages

Smooth design of the TORNADO® hygienic rotary lobe pump offers additional cleaning advantages

"Smooth design of the TORNADO® rotary lobe pump T.Sano®" means a completely smooth housing which attracts barely any dirt and dust. This design has been specially developed for the hygiene and food industry, because not only the materials and the cleanability of the pump room are subject to strict regulations, but also the outer contours are taken into account. To ensure that no dust can accumulate, the pump housing must also be designed without superfluous corners, edges and dead spaces. However, this series of T.Sano® is generally interesting for food manufacturers due to its pump room without dead spaces and its oil-free belt drive. The pump is absolutely oil-free and almost maintenance-free.

NETZSCH exhibits at Hannover Messe

NETZSCH exhibits at Hannover Messe

NETZSCH Pumps & Systems is exhibiting its displacement pumps at the Hannover Messe from 23 - 27 April 2018. With its global portfolio of multi screw pumps in addition to the progressing cavity and rotary lobe pumps the pump manufacturer positions himself as a neutral consultant, which pump is the best for the respective industrial application. You will find NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH at the Pump Plaza in Hall 15, booth G 43.06.

High suction capability with NETZSCH positive displacement pumps

High suction capability with NETZSCH positive displacement pumps

NETZSCH will present at the trade fair Tank Storage from  29th - 30 th November in hall A2 on booth C19 in Hamburg. On exhibition there will be shown the product range, specially adapted to the applications related to tank storage: NOTOS® multi screw pumps, TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps and NEMO® progressing cavity pumps are pumping high viscous media over long distances and enable complete emptying of tanks.

NETZSCH Pumps & Systems is exhibiting its displacement pumps at the Hannover Messe from 24 - 28 April 2017. The company has recently added the multi screw pump to its global portfolio in addition to the progressing cavity and rotary lobe pump. In this way, the pump manufacturer positions himself as a neutral consultant, which pump is the best for the respective industrial application. You will find NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH at the Pump Plaza in Hall 15, booth G 43.

NETZSCH Pumps & Systems does the triple

NETZSCH Pumps & Systems does the triple

The NETZSCH Pumps & Systems GmbH in Waldkraiburg were granted the three certificates in accordance with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 by the SGS International Certification Services beginning of March this year. This success has been mainly achieved by the department "Integrated Quality Systems". Therefore the requirements of the internationally recognised DIN EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management standards were met, jointly certified and merged with the existing DIN EN ISO 9001-compliant system.

Paper production: the TORNADO® rotary lobe pump transports hot starch solution without sticking or corroding

Paper production: the TORNADO® rotary lobe pump transports hot starch solution without sticking or corroding

Waldkraiburg, Germany, 03/04/2013
After the food industry, the paper and cardboard industry is the world's largest consumer of starch. Carbohydrate-based paste is used to stick together layers of cardboard, for example, though starch solution is in fact primarily used to size the paper surface, making it printable and writeable. However, the medium is very sensitive to pulsation, and is very aggressive and capable of corroding conveyors. As a result, the existing centrifugal pumps in a large paper factory in Hesse had to be replaced. The company replaced its old pumps with NETZSCH TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps. The pumps were specially fine-tuned to the highly corrosive material and convey the starch with minimal pulsation and maximum care. The new displacement pumps have also made more accurate dosing possible.

Just one square metre each: flexible rotary lobe pumps convey kaolin slurry quickly and reliably despite reduced space

"White gold" – this description of porcelain was also used in the past for paper, for a good reason. Both are based on kaolin, a special clay that gives the materials their radiant white. Kaolin is not only used as a coating in paper production, but as a filling as well. The demand in paper production for kaolin is therefore high so that, in large factories, the raw material is sometimes delivered in tankers by rail. Special pumps are required to empty the tanks quickly to save time and costs. One well-known paper producer, however, scarcely had any space for conveyors, so TORNADO® rotary lobe pumps from NETZSCH Pumpen&Systeme GmbH were used. The flexible and compact systems also work in unusual positions, so that just one square metre per pump is enough to convey the kaolin.
