Printed electronics is a key technology in which electronic functional materials present in liquid or pasty form are used for printing instead of using printing inks. Paper suggests itself for such applications since it is a cost-effective, flexible and sustainable substrate. But does it also meet the high requirements of different environmental and operating conditions? A research project of the PTS together with the Institute of Print and Media Technology at the Technical University Chemnitz was devoted to this question.
Corrugated board packaging is developing at a fast pace, quite unaffected by any crises. This product segment will continue to experience unprecedented growth in future as well. In this thematic area, PTS has a tradition of high-level expertise in research, development, consultancy and analysis. This includes the testing of product properties, increasing productivity in corrugated board plants, the pre-certification of inkjet codification as well as product developments for new applications, e.g. in light-weight construction.
Since 1989 the paper show and the conference has been the most influential activity in china’s paper industry, they have been recognized as one of the largest international show of Asian and global paper and its related industries. In 2016 it will be organized in Shanghai for the first time jointly by the China Technical Association of Paper Industry (CTAPI), the China National Research Institute of Paper Industry (CNPPRI) and PTS. PTS takes important part in arranging the conference program that will take place on 10 October 2016 that is the day before the opening of the exhibition (11-13 October2016). Venue will be Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center
PTS Paper & Board Symposium (September 6-7, 2016 at Leonardo Royal Hotel in Munich) will be one of the highlights among the events offered to paper producers and converters this autumn.
Starting end of January 2016, PTS will be pleased to test and certify your materials in accordance with ISO 18916.
The European Recovered Paper Council (ERPC) announced the winners of the fifth European Paper Recycling awards in a well-attended ceremony at the European Parliament. PTS was again honoured for its excellent research work.
Mr Frank Miletzky (PhD), 60-year old chief technical officer and board spokesperson of Papiertech-nische Stiftung, was appointed as honorary professor of paper technology by the Technical University of Dresden.
