Weyerhaeuser announces tax treatment of 2015 distributions

For shareholders of Weyerhaeuser Company, the total dividend distributions made in 2015 per share of Common Stock Cusip 96216610 traded under the symbol WY are to be classified for income tax purposes as Capital Gain Distributions.

The common share dividends, totaling $1.20 per share, were paid quarterly as follows: $0.29 on March 13, 2015; $0.29 on June 19, 2015; $0.31 on September 25, 2015; and $0.31 on November 20, 2015.  These dividends are classified for income tax purposes as 100% Capital Gain Distributions.

The total dividend distributions made in 2015 per share of the company's 6.375% Mandatory Convertible Preference Shares, Series A, Cusip 962166872 traded under the symbol WYPRA are to be classified for income tax purposes as Capital Gain Distributions.

The preference share dividends, totaling $3.1876 per share, were paid as follows: $0.7969 on April 1, 2015; $0.7969 on July 1, 2015; $0.7969 on October 1; 2015; and $0.7969 on January 1, 2016.  These dividends are classified for income tax purposes as 100% Capital Gain Distributions received by the shareholder in 2015.
