On 14 January 2015, Metsäliitto Cooperative, the parent company of Metsä Group, announced the divestment of the entire share capital of Metsä Wood’s UK-based pole business subsidiary Burt Boulton & Haywood Ltd (BBH) to ScanPole Ltd. The divestment was finalised on 2 February 2015. The transaction does not have a significant impact on Metsä Wood’s financial results.

Metsä Wood provides competitive and environmentally friendly wood products for construction, industry and distributor partners. The products are manufactured from Nordic wood, a sustainable raw material of premium quality. Metsä Wood’s sales were EUR 897 million in 2013, and it employs approximately 2,500 people. Metsä Wood is part of Metsä Group.
