Walki will invest in upgrading two of its important laminator lines at the Pietarsaari plant in Finland, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The upgrade will be done with the latest technology, ensuring a consistent quality of the products throughout the whole production run. The upgrade includes e.g. new drives and control system for the PRS106 line as well as renewal of some of the unwinding stations on PRS109 and PRS106.

The upgrade is also a step towards working for higher output.

The Pietarsaari plant is where Walki runs materials for industrial packaging as well as corrugated and solid board companies that are manufacturing food packages. The demand for these types of products is expected to remain stable.

Walki is a leading global producer of multi-layer laminates and protective packaging materials.
