Versowood Oy and Metsäliitto Osuuskunta have signed a contract, whereby the Metsä Wood Glulam factory in Hartola, Finland, and 50% of Hartolan Kuningaslampö power plant will be sold to Versowood Oy. The transfer will be effective as of end November. The personnel at the Glulam factory will become Versowood employees, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The acquisition increases Versowood's Glulam production from 65.000 cubic metres to over 80.000 m³ on an annual basis and the turnover will be almost Euro 40 million per year with 110 employees in total. Versowood has already Glulam factories in Heinola and Vierumäki.
