Swedish board maker Fiskeby Board will not be sold

19 March 2015

Fiskeby Holding has stopped the sales process for its subsidiary Fiskeby Board in Sweden. The company therefore remains the owner of the board plant with a capacity of 170,000 tpy.

Swedish board maker Fiskeby Board Limited will not be sold after all. Parent company US Fiskeby Holding said it had not received any "mutually acceptable offers" and concluded that a sale would not be the better option. The parent company subsequently terminated efforts to sell the subsidiary so Fiskeby Board will remain under the holding company managed by Jeffrey Coors.

Fiskeby Holding announced in December last year that it wanted to divest its subsidiary and that it was exploring a possible sale.

Fiskeby Board is located in Norrköping and produces recycled board in a basis weight range of 280-500 g/m². The company's board machine has an annual capacity of 170,000 t which was almost fully utilised last year with an output of 168,000 t. The company employs 264 people and generated sales of SEK740m in 2014.
