Reno de Medici and Cascades have combined their European businesses. The groups as well as their joint sales company Careo now form one unified company.

Reno de Medici, Cascades' European business and Careo have become one unified company. The newly formed company trades under the name of RDM, the companies report.

In June 2016, Reno de Medici took over Cascades' La Rochette plant which represented the completion of the business combination with the European assets of the Cascades Group. Now, the companies have been formally combined with the creation of RDM.

"[With the combination], we become more agile and flexible", said Michele Bianchi, the new RDM group CEO. "We want to strengthen our presence and visibility in Europe and overseas," he added.

RDM comprises six cartonboard production facilities in Europe. The group produces recycled as well as virgin fibre board which it sells to 70 countries and employs more than 1,500 people.
