Italian integrated packaging manufacturer Pro-Gest made the winning bid in the auction for Levio Loris’ Badia Polesine recycling plant.

The company informed that it bid a total of €2m for the plant’s machinery and the 8,000 m² building at the site. Pro-Gest did not give further details on the transaction and the acquired site.

Badia Polesine is located in the Veneto region, not far from Pro-Gest’s Villa Lagarina mill, which produces recycled corrugated case material. Pro-Gest has set itself the objective of strengthening its recycling business – the first phase of the production chain – and become as independent as possible from external recovered paper supply. The company already operates several recycling plants all over Italy with a total handling capacity of around 1 million t.
