Germany investment firm Schaeff Group has bought Papierfabrik Scheufelen and wants to push forward the expansion of Scheufelen's premium board business.

German paper maker Papierfabrik Scheufelen has been sold. Paper Excellence, subsidiary of Asia's Sinar Mas Group, sold its entire stake in German paper maker Papierfabrik Scheufelen to a consortium led by Germany's Schaeff Group.

Papierfabrik Scheufelen manufactures coated fine papers and packaging board.

With this acquisition, Schaeff Group wants to tap new markets in the packaging and packaging technology field and announced it would resolutely continue the expansion of Scheufelen's premium packaging board business.

Paper Excellence, the former owner of Scheufelen, plans to focus on its activities on the pulp market.
