Mercer International announced to customers in China that it would increase northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) market pulp prices by $20/tonne, industry contacts said.

Vancouver-headquartered Mercer slated a new list price on NBSK at $620/tonne with the $20/tonne increase, effective March 1.
