Industrial Pulp to build 250,000 tonne/yr dissolving pulp mill in Russia's Perm region

Russian firm Industrial Pulp is set to build a 250,000 tonne/yr dissolving pulp mill in the town of Chusovoy in the Perm region of Russia. The firm has signed a contract with the China 22MCC Group to build the plant, which should begin operating in 2020.

The $500 million project will be financed from the investor’s own funds as well as debt financing the investor plans to raise. The mill will produce 200,000 tonnes/yr of dissolving viscose staple fiber and 50,000 tonnes of technical grades of dissolving pulp, according to Industrial Pulp.
