18 November 2016

The new 34,000 tpy tissue machine will strengthen Goma-Camp's position on the global tissue market.

Spain's tissue paper and products manufacturer Goma-Camps will install a new tissue machine and increase its total tissue production capacity to above 90,000 tpy. According to Goma-Camps, the company has already signed a purchase contract with Voith for a new 34,000 tpy tissue machine at the end of September.

The TM 7, with a trimm width of 2,800 mm and a design speed of 2,000 m/min, is to be installed at a greenfield mill adjacent to Gomà-Camps Consumer SLU converting facility in Ejea de los Caballeros. Production strat-up is scheduled for February 2018. Goma-Camps puts the total investment value at €30m.

Goma-Camps already runs two tissue machines producing 60,000 tpy of virgin-fibre and recycled tissue. "After the new investment, Gomà-Camps Group’s total production capacity will exceed 90,000 tpy and reinforce its position in the global tissue market," the company said.
